At Spin Casino you will find a wide range of casino slots. All in all the casino offers over 600 Microgaming slots. This includes all popular titles such as Thunderstruck, Break da Bank, Immortal Romance, and Ariana. When you launch the ‘’Vegas’’ part of Spin Casino you will find more slot games. This includes the full line of NetEnt slots. These amazing slot games are very popular with desktop and mobile players. A few of the most played NetEnt slots are Starburst, Jack Hammer, Gonzo’s Quest and Steam Tower. When you open the lobby you will be able to view the full line of available video slots.
Spin Palace offers besides slots various other quality online casino games. You will for example be able to hit it big on one of the many Microgaming progressive jackpot slots. All of these jackpots can get huge and some of them even exceed 10 million euros from time to time. Some of the most popular jackpot slots at Spin Palace are;
In addition to these titles, Microgaming offers loads of other jackpot games such as Fruit Fiesta, Jackpot Deuces, LotsaLoot, Poker Ride, and Treasure Nile. You will be able to enjoy these jackpot slots on any type of device. Although this is the case I think most players prefer to play these on desktop. The main reason for this is that the older design of most of these games doesn’t really show well on mobile screens. One other game type where Microgaming is famous for are table games. In the lobby you will find a very extensive list of table games. These games usually offer interesting payouts and high RTP’s. Because of this, they are popular with most high rollers in online casinos. Some of the most popular games in Spin Palace Casino are;
3 Card Poker;
And there is plenty more. Only Blackjack is already available in Atlantic City, Classic, Spanish, European, and Vegas Strip style. On top of this the game portfolio offers many variety games such as Card Climber, Flip Card, High Speed Poker, Multi Wheel Roulette and Cyberstud. You can enjoy most of these games using a limit varied from €2,- up to €1.000,- per hand. This makes them perfectly suitable for players with both a small and big gambling budget.
You will find video poker games at most online casinos and Spin Palace is no exception. This is a good thing since many online players love to play these types of games. All in all Spin Palace offers a portfolio of around 30 different video poker games. This includes different variants of video poker such as ‘’gold series’’ and ‘’multi-hand’’. Below you will find an overview of some of the available games. Enter the lobby to have a look at the full range.

A unique thing about Spin Palace is that the casino is available in countless languages. This makes the casino customer-friendly and understandable for players from across the globe. The main language of the website is English. But by using the menu you can switch to other languages. Spin Palace for example offers its website in France, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish, Latvian, Japanese, Thai, Greek, Arabic, Korean and Lithuanian. In addition to this most international languages are available for specific countries. Spin Palace for example offers Canadian English, New Zealand English and Irish. In my opinion, it is very user friendly that the casino has translated their website into so many different languages.

i remember at 12 years old i looked up at my mom and told her i was going to kill myself some day. we were walking to the Fiesta casino in las vegas to find my father, with a gambling addiction. my life wasn’t always so bad. as a little girl, before i reached the age 10- i was seemingly happy. i was raised in a middle class family and my grandmother was the binding of our family. when she passed, it all went downhill. from homelessness, to understanding my mother and fathers drug addiction, to rape and abortion, to foster care, to suicide attempts, death, abuse, pain.. oh. so much pain. i’ve always said i could write a book about my trauma, and i sure could. though i won’t tonight. i want you to know something about me. i’ve really been through it all. at 19, i’ve never met anyone personally who can relate to all my trauma. maybe one or two things, but to it all? never. suicide has been on my mind for years and it comes in waves. i’m not sure if i’ll ever successfully commit, but if i do, at least i’ll finally be at peace.

Bonuses & Promotions
We appreciate the bonus and promotional program that this casino has put together for its players for a few reasons. The first is that the site and the program are not overwhelming and packed with a reload bonus here and a reload bonus there and throw in some free spins three times a day as long as you make ten deposits a week. You know, that type of thing… Instead, there’s a standard welcome bonus package that’s nothing different than most that you’ll find through internet casinos. But, what creates some real value add opportunities are the loyalty program plus the limited time promotions. We’re going to detail the current promotion for you in just a minute but, what’s great about it is that there’s no deposit required If you’re on the site to do some betting, you can get in on the action and have some fun participating and spinning the wheel for prizes. It’s frustrating to see some great rewards up for grabs but then read the small print and find out that it’ll cost you hundreds to even get in the running, and that’s not the case here. Play your favorite game and wager as you normally would, and you’re part of the promotion. >>Play Free Spins Now<<
$1,200 Welcome Bonus Package + 50 Free Spins
New players can get in on a three-part reward that includes both a deposit match plus some free spins on three different designated slot games. That’s good news. The not quite as good news is that you have to rollover the bonus 40 times before you can cash anything out. This site offers two types of tracking, though, so you’ll need to get further clarification on meeting any wagering requirement and find out if you’re on a percentage tracking system or in protected bonus mode as it will make a difference.
The Welcome Package
#1: 100% matching bonus up to $400 plus 50 free spins on MEGA MOOLAH
#2: 100% matching bonus up to $400
#3: 100% matching bonus up to $400
Limited Time Promotions
Royal Vegas features a current promotion that runs for about a month or so, and it also provides information on past contests so new players can get a good idea of what to expect in the future. When we checked in, the current promotion was “Wild Wins” with a €300,000 instant prize pool at stake. This is the kind of bonus that we like to see because it’s not tied into a deposit requirement. Those types of things get old. You want some extra value while you’re playing instead of having to fund your player account over and over again. So, the way Wild Wins works (say that three times fast) is that you log in and play your favorite game in the casino. The more you bet, the faster you fill your progress bar with rewards points. Every time you get up to 100% on that meter, you get a spin on the jungle wheel The jungle wheel has prizes that include free spins, rewards points, or a trip to the bonus round where you can get in on the big stuff. They’re all instant prizes, and you can spin as many times as you fill that progress bar. >>Play Free Spins Now<<
Royal Vegas Rewards Program
If you’re familiar with online casino VIP programs, you’ll immediately understand this one. It’s a four-tiered club, and every new player is automatically enrolled as soon as they complete registration of their betting account. The tiers are:
Silver is the starting point and, just to get the ball rolling, new members get 2,500. From there, points are earned based on your betting, with slots providing one point for every credit bet. Some table games provide at a rate of one point per five credits but, when you get to Classic Blackjack and All Aces Video Poker, you need to do some substantial wagering. It takes 100 credits to earn one point when you play those two games. As soon as you earn 10,000 in one month, you hit the Gold status and then you’ll receive a birthday present, accelerated earnings, and a monthly loyalty bonus. Get all the way to Platinum with 75,000 points in one month, and all of those rewards are multiplied significantly. Plus, once you reach 5,000 points you can convert them to cash whenever you want. They exchange at €1 for every 1,000 points redeemed. Cash to points and points to cash.
Money Transfers – In and Out
If you’ve read some of our reviews, you may have noticed that we like full disclosure when it comes to banking. We want to see options right up front for everyone to review and not hidden behind a password so that customers need to register to find out if they can even deposit using their financial accounts. While this casino does provide a good, detailed list of all of the available financial providers that they use for deposits and withdrawals, what it doesn’t provide is accurate information on their turnaround times for processing and any fees that may be imposed. It does say that some fees may apply, and we do know that there is a minimum 24 hour waiting period before an internal approval is made on cash out requests, but that’s the extent of it. We’re putting the focus on this because cash outs with Royal Vegas are one of the most discussed topics in player forums about the casino. You will see some very complimentary comments stating they had money in hand within seven days. But, you’ll also find some people report that they went through a very lengthy withdrawal process and didn’t feel that customer service did much to help them or clarify things. Just like opinions, money issues will vary from person to person so we can’t give a definitive answer here, but you will want to keep this information in mind if you are someone who demands a quick turnaround as you may not find one through this site. >>Play Free Spins Now<<
It’s typical for a casino to have many ways to deposit and fewer withdrawal methods and that is also the case here. But, there are so many withdrawal options that the expanded “cash in” list goes on and on. Unless you are a Bitcoin user, your preferred banking method is surely on this list. The minimum deposit for all of these methods is 10. However, you can sign up with a lower minimum deposit, but then forfeit the free spins that are included in the welcome bonus package. That’s quite a list, isn’t it?! There are some other currency restrictions but just click on banking and then the deposit tab and you’ll be able to review the currency options that specifically apply to you.
There aren’t specific guidelines on payout approvals and fees. The internal approval takes a minimum of 24 hours and could take longer and then it’s in the hands of the payment processor or bank.

As far as fees, we contacted customer service and were told that any charges depend on the method that you’re using. They don’t have published guidelines, so you will want to keep that in mind. We highly suggest contacting customer service and providing your country, currency, the financial method you’re selecting, and approximate transfer amount and get all of the details up front, so you’re not disappointed later.
Thumbs up to Royal Vegas for providing a great variety that includes specialty, video poker, some unusual table games, and both reel and video slots courtesy of Microgaming. Not all of them appear in the mobile casino, so specialty players need to pull up the full website version.
Audio and Video Quality
As long as you have Flash installed first, the user interface is very easy, and the quality is as good as it gets with these particular titles. We found them to be fast loading and the graphics crisp and clear.
171 games appeared for us on an Android device. While we couldn’t find the specialty games, slots, table games, video poker, and the full live casino area were all ready to go for us with a clear picture and touchscreen operation.
Slots: 350 (148 on mobile)
The slot banks are all together as there aren’t different versions separated out, but you can sort them alphabetically or search for a particular title to quickly locate your favorite. Slots can also be played in free play mode so you can try out some without risking money at the same time.
A Few of the Newer Games Include
108 Heroes – Multiplier Fortunes
Oink Country Love
You can even filter the games with a Hot and Cold designation. If you use that particular function, you’ll get a new list of games with either flames or a snowflake next to them, which is kind of a fun way to narrow down your selections.
Some of the Reel Slots
Bar Bar Black Sheep
Wheel of Wealth
And, what Microgaming is known for, those intricate video slots with amazing graphics and video, and featuring some unusual bonus games.
Jungle Jim El Dorado
Jekyll and Hyde
MegasSpin – Break da Bank Again
Game of Thrones
Wheel of Wealth – Multiplayer
When you talk about slots provided by Microgaming, the focus is usually more on the progressive jackpots as this software giant offers some of the more well-known big money games. Royal Vegas provides a running total of the current combined progressive amounts available on the site. Just in case you were wondering, it was $6.2 million when we last checked.
Mega Moolah Isis
Lots a Loot
Major Millions, Fruit Fiesta, and Lots a Loot each have two versions, a three reel and a five reel but boast the same top payout amounts.
Video Poker: 26 (seven on mobile)
It can get monotonous to talk about video poker as it’s typically not well-represented on online casinos compared to its presence in brick and mortars. When it is online, there are usually only a few of the most basic games like Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild. While this site’s video poker collection isn’t what you would call massive, there are some fun variations that we appreciate, as it gives those poor neglected poker players some choices.
Tens or Better
Deuces Wild 4 Up
Aces and Faces Poker
Deuces and Joker Power Poker
Bonus Poker Deluxe
Aces and Eights
Table Games: 50 (eight on mobile)
When you access the table game area, you’ll see 58 tables as opposed to 50 but that’s because the live dealer tables are also included, and we’re breaking them out so you can get a better picture of what this casino has to offer. A few of the “non live” options include:
Double Exposure Blackjack
Vegas Strip Blackjack Gold
Big Five Blackjack Gold
Multi Wheel Roulette Gold
Three Card Poker Gold – Single Hand
Hold ’em High Gold
European Blackjack Gold Series High Streak
Scratch Cards: 20 (zero on mobile)
Although we didn’t find any of these games on our smartphone, there are plenty of specialty type games on the full website for instant or download play.
Plunder the Sea
Offside and Seek
Dawn of the Bread
Casual Games: 33 (zero on mobile)
Another section that we couldn’t find in the mobile casino, but this casual games section has a lot of variety to it
Four by Four
Whack a Jackpot
Max Damage and the Alien Attack
Pick ‘N Switch
Live Casino: eight (eight on mobile)
Although live casino doesn’t appear in the middle menu where all of the other gaming menu items are featured, there is a live casino selection from the top menu. Oddly enough, though, when you click on it, it takes you to the main slots area. At first, we didn’t think there was a live casino, but when we headed into the table game section, there were eight live tables in action. Except for Live Dream Catcher, the tables in the in this area are provided by Evolution Gaming.
Live Dream Catcher
Private Blackjack (2)
Live Casino Hold ’em
Live Caribbean Stud Poker
Live 3 Card Poker

Live Chat: Available 24/7
We did make contact with the customer service department to clarify a few things about their banking minimums and fees. In some forums, we saw that players weren’t answered promptly, but our live chat started within one minute. The most we waited for a reply to one of the questions was three minutes. On the other hand, we weren’t overwhelmed with the quality of the responses. It was like pulling teeth to try to get an answer and, when we did, it was short and barely scratched the surface of what we asked. So, we can certainly understand the frustration that some people experienced, especially if they were trying to get information on a payout they’re owed.
When we look at a casino that features one and only one software provider, it’s difficult to be creative in our assessment. Microgaming is a top company and offers some of the best games around, so slot players who know these games already know what to expect. If you pull up the Microgaming website and look at their top “creations,” you’ll find most, if not all, of them on Royal Vegas, not to mention those big jackpot providers like Major Millions. We do like that this site offers more than just a focus on slots. The specialty games area is chock full of possibilities for people who would rather play something different. There are a lot of players who enjoy keno or bingo or scratch offs, and they’re all set as long as they play the full site version and aren’t mobile casino players. Video poker and table games are plentiful and have a good variety in addition to a suitable quantity. Evolution Gaming is behind the live dealer tables, and it’s one of the best for this type of “real person” table action, so that’s another feather in Royal Vegas’ cap. Taking a look the rest of the service, though, there are some positives and negatives. >>Play Free Spins Now<<
When a casino operator decides to launch multiple brands, it is unusual for them to launch them all at once; they are typically staggered over a series of years, and sometimes the original site can get a bit stale as the focus shifts to new brands. The subject of this review, Royal Vegas Casino, is one of the old guards of online casinos. Since its launch, its parent company has gone on to manage 19 other brands; have they put this site out to pasture, or is it still worth your time and money? That is what I plan to find out with this honest, legit review of this casino.
About Royal Vegas Casino
Royal Vegas was one of the flagship sites of the Fortune Lounge Group when it was launched in 2000. It is now one of the 20 brands under the Digimedia Casino umbrella, alongside sister sites such as Casino Epoca, Spin Palace, and Platinum Play. In fact, while I was performing my initial stages of this review, I did notice a significant number of similarities between this casino and Platinum Play. As a result, much of this review may sound the same to many of you; I apologize, but I am going to look behind every corner to find all the differences between the two. All of the Digimedia casinos have a license from the Malta Gaming Authority. This regulatory board keeps a watchful eye over all of its approved casinos, ensuring that player funds are safe and that the casino is completely above board when it comes to fairness and security.
Royal Vegas uses two software partners for the two sides of their online casino. The Live Dealer games are provided by industry-leader Evolution Gaming. We’ll talk more about these games further down this review; they are only available via the Instant Play format. For the remainder of the casino, Royal Vegas is powered by Microgaming, one of the industry’s longest-standing and top providers of games. In fact, Royal Vegas is one of Microgaming’s oldest clients, so this casino has seen all the improvements they have made over the years. Microgaming’s casino is available in Instant Play format, but if you want all the games and the full casino experience, you are better served downloading the casino client to your desktop. >>Get Free Spins Now<<
The Good Stuff
When you hit the casino lobby, your eyes track immediately to the ticker which shows how much money is available in progressive jackpots on the site. The total is currently around 2.5 Million USD; almost half of that can be found in the Mega Moolah game. One spin of those reels could win you just over a million dollars! You should spend a couple minutes playing every time you log in; you never know which spin might be the one that changes your life!
A Clear Opt-Out Option
Wow. You don’t see this very often at a casino. Right there with an overview of the promotions and the rewards is a tab named Unsolicited Communications, where they outline how to opt-out of emails, and their policy to not just spam their players. Well done, Royal Vegas – this is most impressive.
The Bad Stuff
So Much Is the Same
One thing about operating many casinos is that sometimes it is easy to just copy and paste one site into another. From a games standpoint, that is exactly what has happened with Royal Vegas. If you are already a player with Platinum Play, you probably don’t need to play here; the casino lobby is exactly the same.
Quick Points Expiry
You will read a little later on how important a Comp Program is in my eyes; not only do I like to be able to redeem the points for cash, but I also like to try to move up VIP levels as quickly as possible. I noticed that the points at Royal Vegas have an expiry of 60 days; that is significantly faster than the industry standard of 90 days. This is a little disheartening considering you need to accumulate 5,000 to convert them. In my opinion, one of those rules needs to be adjusted. >>Get Free Spins Now<<
Royal Vegas Casino Game Selection
Even though you can see these games at many of the Digimedia Casinos, it is entirely possible that this is your first time seeing Microgaming in action. If so, you are in for a real treat. The slots catalog is bursting at the seams with titles for you to choose from; at last count, there were well over 300 slot machines in the casino lobby. What I particularly enjoy are all the games that feature brands I know from other walks of life; you will see many of those along with other in-house content that I have enjoyed playing from the list below:
Around The World
Cash Splash – 3 Reel
Cash Splash – 5 Reel
Cool Buck 5 reel

Live Dealer Games
I mentioned earlier how much I love the Live Dealer games from Evolution. Truth be told, I enjoy live casino games form virtually any supplier. The pace of these games is much different than the traditional online casino; I also love watching the dealers on the live stream having to deal those oversized cards! At Royal Vegas, you can find the Live Casino games in the “Tables” tab of the lobby, and from there you can choose from the following games:
Caribbean Stud Poker
I am sure I am one of the craziest video poker nuts I know. Sometimes, I will find myself at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, playing at one of the machines at the bar while also playing a game on my phone at one of the online casinos I have reviewed. Yes, that may be considered extreme behavior, but I can’t help it – I love these games! When it comes to the selection at Royal Vegas, you will find a significant number of machines and pay tables. It is important to look at the pay tables before playing a game; you want to make sure the variant you are playing gives you the best return for your betting style. Also, you may find the multi-hand versions of the games exciting; there is nothing better than a Royal Flush except maybe 4 of them on the same hand! Check out the types of video poker games you can play at this casino:
Jacks or Better
Aces & Faces
Bonus Deuces Wild
Tens or Better
Aces & Eights
Deuces & Joker
Double Double Bonus
Joker Poker (kings or better)
Bonus Poker Deluxe
For this casino review, I decided to do something different when testing the Table Games. I chose to play a game I don’t play very often and give it a full 45 minutes session. This time I decided on 3 Card Poker; this is a game I tend to play only with my friends after way too many drinks in Vegas, so I thought I would try it in the comfort of my own home. The end result? Well, I am still not sure if I like the game as much as I do other Table Games; thankfully there is a full complement of those at Royal Vegas:
3 Card Poker
Atlantic City Blackjack
Atlantic City Gold Blackjack
Crown and Anchor
European Blackjack Redeal
European Gold Blackjack
Hi-Lo 13 European Blackjack
Pai Gow Poker
Premier High Streak Blackjack
Vegas Downtown Blackjack
Vegas single deck Blackjack
Vegas Strip Blackjack
Now, the honest truth here: I did not test any of these “Casual Games” in reviewing Royal Vegas. While many of you may love to play these games, I consider them nothing more than a time-filler, and a costly one at that. However, should you get the itch to try one of them out, here are all the options you have to choose from:
While the casino lobby can look the same, where I am hoping to find some differences between this casino and its sister properties is in the promotional area. I am going to have a look at two promotions in detail here in this review:
This offer for first-time depositing players is eerily similar to the one being offered by Platinum Play, but this one is just a little bit sweeter. They are offering you up to $1,200 in bonuses and 120 Free Spins in their Welcome Bonus, along the following lines:
On your first deposit: a 100% deposit match up to $/€250 plus unlock 30 Free Spins on Dragon Dance-a minimum deposit of $/€10 is required to receive your Spins
On your second deposit: a 25% deposit match up to $/€200 plus unlock 40 Free Spins on Wild Orient
On your third deposit: 50% deposit match up to $/€750 plus unlock 50 Free Spins on the SunTide
So, this is definitely different than the other casino; first off, it is more money. Also, it is only spread over three deposits (all of which must be made within 7 days). I was able to access the Terms and Conditions page and found there that the wagering requirement for this bonus (and all other bonuses) is 40x the bonus amount; that is a competitive rate, so it’s definitely worth giving this bonus a shot.
Wild Wins Wheel
This is a great ongoing promotion that by the sounds of things has been run before at this casino. It is a time-sensitive offer (this one looks to be about three weeks long), and has straightforward rules:
Play your favorite games to earn Rewards points
Your Rewards points will fill up the progress bar
Each time you reach 100%, you’ll get a spin on the jungle wheel
Prizes on the wheel include Free Spins, Rewards points and a Bonus Round for even bigger prizes!
You can try and spin the jungle wheel as many times as possible to win your share of €300,000 in instant prizes
I like that the casino has offers like this available for players; the sense of urgency to play games before the promo ends provides motivation to play more often, which is obviously good for the casino. >>Get Free Spins Now<<
Getting your money to this site is not going to be a problem. As you will see below, the number of payment methods offered is staggering. Also, if you have a problem with the first method you choose, as I did, the casino works fast to ensure you are still on the hook. I received a Live Chat message as soon as my deposit was rejected, followed by being walked through another method which ended up being successful. That is an excellent way to keep players interested.
Diners Club International
Diners Club International
Royal Vegas Casino VIP Program
Along with the Comp Program, all real money players are entered into Royal Vegas’s VIP Program. This program has two parts to it; an in-house tiered program that rewards players from the second they make a deposit, and access for higher-level players to the Fortune Lounge VIP program, where you can find yourself being invited to some of the most exclusive parties and events in the online casino world.
Would I Play at Royal Vegas Casino?
Well, here’s the thing: I have a real money account at Platinum Play and have used the Welcome Bonus, so I am not even sure I will be able to take advantage of the superior offer from Royal Vegas. If you haven’t opened an account at either, I would suggest you do so at Royal Vegas first, then see what happens after you clear the bonus. The site itself is great: an excellent selection of games, a great comp and VIP program, and a whole host of ways to contact the casino in real-time if you have any issues. I have no problem recommending this casino to anyone- time has not passed Royal Vegas by, and they remain one of the flagship brands of the Digimedia Casino group! >>Get Free Spins Now<<
I have to hands down say The Golden Gate on Fremont Street is my favorite. It has history and is technically the oldest casino in Las Vegas. No, it isn't huge, it isn't modern like Caesars Palace, but it has soul. Also, I tend to have best luck at the blackjack tables there (& the D, which are both co-owned by the same company.) What are your favorite Casinos? On the strip, I like Planet Hollywood the best. The ambiance of the Palazzo gaming room is lovely, but I've always did nothing but lose lose lose there. I also did pretty well at the Mirage. Typically I avoid the strip for gambling, and my last apartment was at Jones and Lake Mead, so I went to both Fiesta and Texas Station often, THAT or Arizona Charlie's. I've won more the not at Arizona Charlie's. As you can see, I don't have the most boujee tastes. But I do have a love for the Casino lifestyle, which is why I attended dealer school. Tell me where your most positive casino experiences were, which ones you prefer, and the ones that you tend to avoid, please!
Stop, Swab & Go - North Las Vegas Testing 31 AUG - 18 SEP
Clark County announces a partnership with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the state of Nevada to administer up to 60,000 additional drive-through coronavirus tests over 14 day at no cost to individuals receiving tests. Texas Station in North Las Vegas is one of the newly added sites North Las Vegas, Nevada – Clark County and state officials requested the additional resources as part of a federal program offering surge testing in COVID-19 hot spots across the country. Appointments are not required at any of the three “Stop, Swab & Go” drive-thru sites but are strongly encouraged. The public can register online for an appointment at www.DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com. Each site will operate Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug, 31 through Sept. 18, providing self-administered nasal swab tests. All three locations will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The tests are free and no proof of health insurance or identification is required. The “Stop, Swab & Go” event will offer drive-thru tests at the locations listed below. The hotel testing sites will be set up in parking garages. The Sam Boyd site will have a drive-thru site set up in its parking lot, and will offer an additional walk-up testing area inside the stadium’s concourse.
Fiesta Henderson Hotel and Casino, 777 W. Lake Mead Pkwy. in Henderson, 89015
Texas Station Hotel and Casino, 2101 Texas Star Lane in North Las Vegas, 89032
Sam Boyd Stadium, 7000 E. Russell Road, 89122
"Testing is the best thing we can do right now to understand precisely how and where COVID-19 is spreading," said North Las Vegas City Councilwoman Pamela Goynes-Brown, who represents Ward 2, which includes Texas Station. "I'm happy to work with Clark County and our state and federal partners to bring convenient, free testing opportunities to North Las Vegas where our residents, especially African Americans and Latinos, are being impacted in such disproportionate numbers." “This is a unique opportunity for our community to do an enormous amount of testing over a short period of time, and we appreciate the White House and Coronavirus Task Force’s leadership in helping to coordinate the HHS surge testing sites in our Las Vegas Valley,” said Clark County Commission Chairman Marilyn Kirkpatrick. “We encourage anyone who wants to be tested whether you have symptoms or not to participate because it will give us the most accurate picture yet of where we are in our fight against COVID-19. The more cases we identify now the faster we can limit community spread and fully reopen our local economy.” The ”Stop, Swab & Go” testing event will occur in conjunction with other community-based testing efforts offered by Clark County and community partners at Cashman Center and the UNLV Thomas & Mack Center Strip View Pavilion and neighborhood strike team testing events. The Clark County Fire Department and the Nevada National Guard are providing logistical support as part of “Stop, Swab & Go,” while the federal government is providing the test kits, sample collection staff, lab capacity, registration and PPE. Five free face coverings will be offered to individuals receiving testing at each location. “It’s important that we reach those people who might not otherwise get tested out of privacy, cost or financial concerns,” said Clark County Vice Chairman Lawrence Weekly, whose Commission District D includes Texas Station. “These testing locations will cater to everyone, but we especially want to assure everyone it’s safe, private and completely free of charge to them.” The registration website for the “Stop, Swab & Go” event, www.DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com, is managed by eTrueNorth, a HHS program contractor. Registrants will need to provide an email address to be notified when their test results will be available online, approximately three to five business days after their test. To access their results, they will need to set up a username and password on the website. All test results, positive or negative, will be reported to the Southern Nevada Health District. Anyone notified of a positive test result is encouraged to stay home and self-isolate to limit the spread of the virus. The Health District will follow up only with people who test positive for the virus as part of its local contact tracing and disease investigation efforts. Providing a current telephone number as part of the testing registration information for the “Stop, Swab & Go” event is critical to local health district contact tracing efforts. COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. People with general questions about COVID-19 can call the health district’s Information Phone Line at (702) 759-INFO (4636), between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Anyone in need of social service support to self-isolate can contact Nevada 2-1-1 for resource referrals. Information about COVID-19 resources also is available in Spanish through the “Esta En Tus Manos” (It’s in your hands) outreach initiative at estaentusmanosnevada.com. The health district has a calendar of testing events in English and Spanish posted at www.SNHD.info/covid. The list includes the upcoming “Stop, Swab & Go” events. Be safe, The City of North Las Vegas ###

Joe Fortune Casino Review
Online casino branding can be repetitive. I think it is safe to say that we are running out of creative ways to package table games and slots, although I will give credit to the marketing departments of these operators for giving it a good try. These days I seem to be regularly reviewing sites with VIP Vegas themes or with some sort of animal on the home page (who knew there were so many lucky animals out there?!). Every once in a while, I come across a new casino that is a bit of a headscratcher…like Joe Fortune. At first, I assumed there was someone with a unique name that was willing to be the front man for this casino like Chris Moneymaker and PokerStars. As it turns out, this is just a fictional character designed to be an online casino magnate. OK then…whatever floats your boat I guess. I did manage to wrap my head around this type of branding to complete a detailed review of what really matters, the casino itself.
About Joe Fortune Casino
Joe Fortune is new to the online casino scene, having opened in 2016. A quick peek into the background of the casino reveals that it is owned by Haydock Sports Limited, and operated by a sister company Betting Partners. This spider web of businesses gets a little more complicated, but the quick and dirty on the corporate background is that Haydock is also listed as the owner of Bodog88, which traces back to Bovada, Bodog.eu and Slots.lv. The bottom line – Joe Fortune is backed by one of the largest online gambling conglomerates in the world. Joe Fortune is licensed by the jurisdiction of Curacao. Curacao is one of the more popular places for online casino operators to acquire a license as their licensing board isn’t exactly the most strict when it comes to oversight. This isn’t really an issue when it comes to Joe Fortune because, with the backing of a company like Bodog, players can rest assured that their balances are going to be safe. >>Claim Free Bonus Now<<
Who Can Play at Joe Fortune Casino
This is where it gets fascinating. Typically when I write a casino review, this section is dedicated to me listing a whole bunch of countries that are restricted from playing at the casino being reviewed. In the case of Joe Fortune, it is easier for me to tell you the countries that ARE allowed to play at their site. Ok, are you ready? Here’s who can play:
Yes, you read that right. Joe Fortune is reserved only for Australian gamblers. I will admit that this one confuses me a bit. The gaming laws in Australia make it illegal for offshore operators from accepting play from its residents. It’s clear that Joe Fortune is a foreign entity, so they could theoretically take action from anywhere. I actually like the position they have taken here – perhaps by ring-fencing the casino to only allow Australians will help them at some point when applying for licenses in that country. At any rate, until something changes, unless you live in Australia, you are given permission to skip to my next review.
Joe Fortune Casino Software Suppliers
It’s a shame that players from all over the world can’t play at Joe Fortune because they have amassed some of the best casino software out there to offer at this casino. When you create an account at Joe Fortune, you are greeted by titles from Microgaming, Real Time Gaming (Bodog owns a standalone license of these games), Rival Gaming and iSoftBet. Bringing together the best of all these vendors means that players at Joe Fortune are going to be able to see many different looking games, which enhances the full casino experience. No one is ever going to complain about too much content at an online casino, that’s for sure! The games at Joe Fortune are designed for browser-based play, which means that players are not required to download software to their own machines. Also, the games (for the most part) are mobile-friendly, giving players the ability to get in some action at their favorite pokies (Australian for slots) while they are on the go!
The Good Stuff
So. Many. Slots. If you are a fan of the pokies, then you are going to love playing at Joe Fortune. It’s pretty clear right from the homepage that slot machines are where they are focusing a significant amount of their attention, and we say Bring It On! The casino features the best slots from Microgaming, Rival, and RTG, including the detailed iSlots games that Rival have recently released. These “storyboard” games feature ongoing character development and excellent second screen games.
You will also find many of the slot machine games have progressive jackpots, giving players a chance to walk away a huge winner if their spin of the reels is the lucky one! I will never question a casino that has a ton of progressives, especially one that promotes their winners; no one like to see a huge jackpot that it seems no one ever wins. Some of the current jackpot slots titles include:
Lots A Loot 5 Reel
Fruit Fiesta 5 Reel
Cash Splash 5 Reel
One Million Reels BC
Joe Fortune Casino The Bad Stuff
YOU CAN’T PLAY THERE! Joe Fortune casino is as much of a tease as a stripper on your lap; as close as you think you can get, there is still no touching. All jokes aside, I love basically everything this casino has to offer, but the bottom line is unless I move to Australia, or am diligent with a VPN and a friend’s address in Sydney, I am stuck looking at the goods from the outside. Now, I am not saying you should invest in VPN software and give it a try yourself, I am just saying that it can be done…
Weak Ongoing Promotions
I am stunned by the choices that the Joe Fortune marketing department have made with regards to their ongoing promotions. The Bodog brand was built on aspirational marketing; they would run contests that would reward players with items and trips usually reserved for the fortunate few. This style of marketing has not transferred over to the Joe Fortune brand, deciding instead to focus on more standard deposit bonuses. Even then, there isn’t much creativity on their promotions page – I am hopeful that this will change shortly. >>Claim Free Bonus Now<<
Joe Fortune Casino Game Selection
I noted earlier that when a casino operator is using multiple software vendors at the same time, the benefit goes directly to you, the player. This is for sure the case with Joe Fortune, where you will find a full suite of games that rivals the largest and best casinos around the globe and on the Internet. Pokies (Slots) I could write an entire review page just on the slots selection at Joe Fortune casino. I wouldn’t say that I am the world’s biggest slots player, but when I do play, there are certain brands and titles that I tend to gravitate towards, most of which I see in the Joe Fortune lobby. I stopped counting when I got to 300 different titles, and you can find all the games right there in their lobby. You can use their search tool to find your favorite game, or just filter by the newest games, the jackpot games or the most popular slots on their site. Table Games Now here is my bread and butter where online casinos are concerned. For this reviewer, the quality of the table games is what makes or breaks a casino. It is 2020; there is no reason for an operator to be providing games that are slow or feature shitty graphics. Thankfully, Joe Fortune has chosen software partners who have excellent game quality and design, so I could easily see myself playing at their tables for hours! These guys go all out for their blackjack players as there are almost a dozen different variants available, including all the popular European and American versions of the game. Video Poker For fans of video poker, I have some good news. The fact that Joe Fortune uses more than one software provider means that the options for video poker players like myself are excellent. Those of you who have read any of my reviews of Rival Gaming or RTG operators will know that those two software providers don’t have a ton of video poker variants; at Joe Fortune, they lean more or Microgaming and iSoftBet for these games. Live Dealer Surprisingly, at this time there are no live dealer games available at Joe Fortune. Given the increase in popularity of these games by players and the success this organization has with Live Dealer games on their other brands, I can only assume that there will be an announcement coming that Joe Fortune will be adding Live Dealer options shortly.
Joe Fortune Casino Welcome Bonus
Joe Fortune offers its new players up to $5,000 in Welcome Bonus dollars, which is an excellent aggressive promotion to try to convince you to make your first deposit. What I like the most about this promotion is the way it is administered. As opposed to making a huge offer to players on only the first deposit, this welcome bonus is split over the first 9 despots you make. Here’s how it works:
200% bonus up to $1,000 on the first deposit
100% bonus on the next 8 deposits to a maximum of $500 per deposit
This type of promotion is effective because $500 is a reasonable amount of money at the high end to expect someone to deposit in a casino. Other online casinos have promotions that are offered up to deposits of $1,000 and higher; there aren’t too many people making those types of transactions. >>Claim Free Bonus Now<<

Royal Vegas Casino 50 free spins on Classic Sevens (no deposit bonus)
Royal Vegas Casino Free Spins Bonus Get 50 free spins on the Classic Sevens slot machine - no deposit required! Join Royal Vegas Casino now! [FREE SPINS BONUS] Here I present again one of my favorite casinos. Historically, the Royal Vegas is a classic Microgaming casino and only recently NetEnt slot machines were added. I feel comfortable here and there are my beloved multiplayer slot machines. But to be able to use both together, you have to have a PC or laptop to download the casino. This downloadable function is pretty hidden. It is probably no longer up to date either, but if you want to play certain slot machines, you have to download it. It is the multiplayer slot machines and also some other older models that can spit out excellent winnings, by the way. If you want to play them, just have a look at the video. If you are looking for all Microgaming and Netent progressive jackpots, for example Fruit Fiesta currently at an amount of € 11,545.01 or Tiki Wonders, which is currently at € 10,000.00, then the Netent slot machines are only available in the online version. It is as it is, the online casino bonus on registration and deposit is very good. The good thing is that you only have to unlock the bonus with 30x. As always, the state of play is shown in the lower part of the casino screen. Simply move the mouse over the credit amount and the real money and bonus are then broken down. So you always have a good overview. As soon as no bonus credit is displayed, you can go to the checkout and have your winnings paid out. But there is another bonus feature that makes playing in Royal Vegas so interesting. More on that in the next section. The first deposit up to the fourth deposit are equipped with the 100% Royal Vegas Casino Bonus up to € 300. It is also worth it a little
Considering move to Vegas from Amsterdam - pros/cons? Locals perspective?
Basically I'd been contemplating this move as, based in Amsterdam - I love it. I love it cause the energy, the vibrancy, any time day or night you can go somewhere and it feels like a fiesta. The music scene, nightclub scene, dance venues, and the gals - tourist central. Vegas seemed to me like Amsterdam on steroids. I look at some of the incredible music promotions like Electronic Daisy Carnival held every year, the nightclubs, the fact they have nightclubs for the daytime, and that captivates me. Also, I have an interest in combat sports which is why I moved to Amsterdam initially and lived there since, and Vegas turns out huge talent and top level training facilities available. My work is as a physiotherapist so there's always work everywhere and I have a masters in it which should facilitate getting a H1B visa. Now typically I control my own hours and I keep hours typically less than 30 per week so I have a good lifestyle outside of work - thus my interest in party/music scene and why I think day clubs would be awesome. All that being said, I asked around on some forums on reddit already and, some feedback was, - "Vegas isn't Amsterdam party wise, but it's good" - "Public transport sucks, nothing like Amsterdam - you're gonna need a car and that's another expense. Forget a bicycle, it's too hot" (I was thinking a moped) - "you don't get sick pay in the US and there's not the same social safety net as the EU" - "health insurance costs about 500 per month in the US" (here I pay 100 per) - "rental costs are cheaper in Vegas than other US states but given vehicle and health costs, you'll need to work a lot of hours to have a decent quality of life" - "about 100 days a year in Vegas you have to stay indoors cause of the heat" - "the city center is not walkable, it's full of panhandlers and nothing like Amsterdam in that sense" - "Vegas is like a big suburb with the strip, clubs and casinos in the middle" There was a few other comments. The health insurance costs threw me for a loop - really off putting. Basically I need some kind of confirmation or more resounding experience reports on the lifestyle contrast between Amsterdam and Vegas. The other comment that really got me was, "It's not a good idea to leave the social security net of western europe for somewhere like the US" It resonated with me and, yeah, like I said - perhaps some insights from locals would provide something additional for me to think about?? Main thing I want from Vegas is what I outlined above - party electric atmosphere, strolling huge malls and casinos, checking out hot tourist girls and strippers etc, high energy environment. (Does any of that wall of text make sense?)
List of Las Vegas casinos that never opened Over the years there have been several casinos and resorts planned for the Las Vegas Valley that never opened. The stages of planning may have been just an announcement or groundbreaking. Asia Resort and Casino Where the Palazzo Casino and Resort currently stands (adjacent to the Venetian Hotel and Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center), an Asian themed casino was proposed but was rejected for the present Palazzo project. Alon Las Vegas A proposed luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip on the former site of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino, announced in 2015. The project was put in doubt after Crown Resorts announced in late 2016 it was suspending its involvement in the development. Crown announced in December 2016 that it was halting the project and seeking to sell its investment. The remaining partner Andrew Pascal announced he was seeking other partners to proceed with the project. However in May 2017, the land went up for sale. The land was later purchased by Steve Wynn. Beau Rivage Steve Wynn, who had purchased and demolished the Dunes hotel-casino, had originally planned to build a modern hotel in the middle of a man-made lake. He later built the Bellagio with a man-made lake in the front of the hotel. The name was later used by Wynn for a resort built in Biloxi, Mississippi. Caribbean Casino In 1988, a sign for a proposed casino was erected on a fenced vacant lot on Flamingo Road. Standing near the sign was a scale model galleon. For several years, that was all that stood on the property. The empty lot was the source of many jokes by the locals until the ship, which was later damaged by a fire started by a homeless person, was torn down in the 1990s and the lot became the site of the Tuscany Suites and Casino co-owned by Charles Heers, who has owned the property since the 1960s. Carnival In 1990, the Radisson group proposed a 3,376-room hotel next to the Dunes, with a casino shaped like a Hershey's Kiss. Cascada A proposed resort that was to have been built on the site of El Rancho Vegas. The parcel is now partially taken by the Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Las Vegas Festival Grounds. City by the Bay Resort and Casino A San Francisco-themed resort was proposed for the site of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino. The project was rejected in favor of the Swiss-themed Montreux, which was also eventually cancelled. Countryland USA A country music-themed resort was planned for construction of the site of the former El Rancho Hotel and Casino. For some years, the El Rancho sign stood with the words "Coming Soon - Future Home of Countryland USA." Craig Ranch Station Main article: Craig Ranch Station A Mediterranean-themed hotel-casino for North Las Vegas, proposed by Station Casinos in March 2000. The project faced opposition from nearby residents, which led to the proposed location being changed to a vacant property on the nearby Craig Ranch Golf Course. Residential opposition to the new location led to the project being rejected by the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee in March 2001. Station Casinos still had the option to develop the project on the initial site, but the project was cancelled entirely in July 2001, following a weak financial quarter for the company. Crown Las Vegas Main article: Crown Las Vegas Formerly known as Las Vegas Tower, the Crown Las Vegas was to have been a supertall skyscraper built on the former site of a Wet 'n Wild water park. In March 2008, the project was canceled and the property was put up for sale. Desert Kingdom In 1993, ITT Sheraton purchased the Desert Inn casino, and had announced plans to develop the large parking lot into a Balinese themed resort to complement the Desert Inn. The project was never developed and the site is now the location of Wynn Las Vegas. DeVille Casino After building the Landmark Hotel and Casino on Convention Center Drive and selling it to Howard Hughes, developer Frank Carroll built the DeVille Casino across the street from the Landmark at 900 Convention Center Drive in 1969. Chips were made for the casino (and are sought-after collectibles), but the casino never opened. The building was renovated in 1992 as a race book parlor named Sport of Kings which closed after nine months. It became the location of The Beach nightclub, which was demolished in 2007 to make room for a planned 600-unit tower that was never built. The land sits currently empty. Echelon Place Main article: Echelon Place An announced project by Boyd Gaming planned to have a hotel built on the property of the former Stardust Resort & Casino. Construction was suspended on August 1, 2008 due to the Great Recession. In March 2013, Boyd Gaming sold the proposed site for $350 million to the Genting Group, which is redeveloping the project as the Asian-themed Resorts World Las Vegas. Fontainebleau Las Vegas Main article: The Drew Las Vegas Located on the Las Vegas Strip and originally known as Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Construction began in 2007, and the resort was to include a casino, 2,871 hotel rooms, and 1,018 condominium units. Construction on the $2.9 billion project ceased in 2009, the year of its planned opening. Investment firms Witkoff Group and New Valley LLC purchased the unfinished resort in 2017. In 2018, Witkoff and Marriott International announced a partnership to open the renamed project as The Drew Las Vegas in 2020. The resort will include a casino and three hotels totaling nearly 4,000 rooms, with the condominium aspect removed from the project. Harley-Davidson Hotel and Casino A resort themed after the motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson was proposed, complete with hotel towers shaped like gigantic exhaust pipes, but was never built. Jockey Club Casino The Jockey Club is a condominium and timeshare resort at 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard South. It was planned to have a casino, and chips were made for its use, but the casino was never opened. Kactus Kate's By April 1994, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino owner Michael Gaughan was interested in building a hotel-casino in North Las Vegas, at the northeast corner of North Rancho Drive and Carey Avenue. In January 1995, the city planning commission approved the rezoning of the land for use as a hotel-casino. The resort, to be named Kactus Kate's, would be built by Gold Coast Hotel/Casino Limited. The hotel would include 450 rooms, and the casino would be 105,000 sq ft (9,800 m2), later decreased to 102,000 sq ft (9,500 m2). The resort would be located directly north of the nearby Fiesta and Texas Station resorts. In December 1998, Coast Resorts, Inc. received approval from the planning commission for a use-permit relating to the undeveloped property. In November 2000, the planning commission unanimously approved a two-year extension on the permit, giving the company more time to decide whether it would build Kactus Kate's. Because of a 1999 Senate bill that placed restrictions on casinos in neighborhoods, Coast Resorts had a deadline of 2002 to build the casino. The hotel would measure over 100 feet (30 m) high, and Coast Resorts was required to notify the Federal Aviation Administration of its final plans, due to the site being located less than 1,000 feet (300 m) from a runway at the North Las Vegas Airport. In January 2001, Station Casinos purchased the 29-acre (12 ha) site for $9 million. Coast Resorts president Harlan Braaten said, "As we saw the competitive nature of that area intensify, in terms of the size of competing facilities, we just felt we would have to build something much bigger than we had intended to compete with Texas Station and Santa Fe Station. It was just going to be a very expensive project, and we didn't feel the returns would be that good." Station Casinos planned to sell the property as a non-gaming site. Las Vegas Plaza Main article: Las Vegas Plaza Not to be confused with the Plaza Hotel & Casino. This was to have been modeled after the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The project was announced shortly before the demolition of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino, where the new hotel would be built. Las Vegas Plaza was cancelled in 2011 due to the Great Recession. London Resort and Casino This announced project was to have been themed around the city of London, and featuring replicas of the city's landmarks. The project was to be built on land across from the Luxor Hotel and Casino. A second London-themed resort was to be built on the former land of the El Rancho Hotel and Casino. Neither project ever began construction. London, Las Vegas This was a proposed three-phase project using London as its design inspiration. When completed, the 38.5-acre (15.5 ha) property would have featured 1,300 hotel rooms, a casino, a 500-foot-tall (152.4 m) observation wheel named Skyvue (partially constructed), and 550,000 square feet (51,097 square meters) of restaurants and shops — all of which would be architectural replicas of various British landmarks and neighborhoods. The project was to be constructed on land across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, where — as of November 2019 — the partially-constructed Skyvue still stands. The wheel was to be "Phase I of London, Las Vegas". Montreux Resort This Swiss-themed resort was to have been built on the property of the former New Frontier Hotel and Casino, but was ultimately cancelled. Moon Resort and Casino Proposed by Canadian developer Michael Henderson, this is a planned 10,000-room, 250-acre (1.0 km2) lunar-themed casino resort. Gaming experts doubt it will ever be built in Las Vegas, simply because the space planned for it is too large for the Las Vegas Strip. NevStar 2000 Further information: Craig Ranch Station § NevStar 2000 Proposed by NevStar Gaming in 1998, the NevStar 2000 entertainment complex in North Las Vegas would have included a hotel and casino, but the project faced opposition from nearby residents who did not want a casino in the area. The project was cancelled when NevStar Gaming filed for bankruptcy in December 1999. North Coast/Boyd Gaming project In May 2003, Coast Casinos had plans for the North Coast hotel-casino, to be built at the southwest corner of Centennial Parkway and Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas. The project would be built on approximately 40 acres (16 ha) of vacant land, surrounded by other land that was also undeveloped. At the time, the North Las Vegas Planning Commission was scheduled to review requests for zoning changes and approvals for the project. The project was not scheduled to be built for at least another four years, after completion of a highway interchange at Lamb Boulevard and the nearby Interstate 15, as well as the completion of an overpass over nearby railroad tracks. Bill Curran, an attorney for the land owner, said, "We're going through the zoning changes now so everybody knows what's going to be out there." The North Coast would include a casino, a 10-story hotel with 398 rooms, a bowling alley, movie theaters, and a parking garage. In June 2003, the Planning Commission voted 6 to 1 to approve preliminary applications necessary to begin work on the North Coast. Boyd Gaming, the owner of Coast Casinos, announced in February 2006 that it would purchase the 40-acre site for $35 million. Jackie Gaughan and Kenny Epstein were the owners at the time. Boyd Gaming had not decided on whether the new project would be a Coast property or if it would be similar to the company's Sam's Town hotel-casino. At the time, no timetable was set for building the project. In March 2007, the project was put on hold. At the time, Boyd Gaming had been securing construction permits for the project but decided to first review growth in the area. Construction had been scheduled to begin in mid-2007. In August 2013, Boyd Gaming sold the undeveloped property for $5.15 million. Palace of the Sea Resort and Casino This was to have been built on the former Wet 'n Wild waterpark site. Conceptual drawings included yacht-shaped towers that housed suites, a casino resembling the Sydney Opera House and a 600-foot (180 m) tall Ferris wheel-type attraction dubbed a "Sky Wheel". It never left the planning stages. Paramount Las Vegas A casino and hotel and condo resort with more than 1,800 units that was planned by Royal Palms Las Vegas, a subsidiary of Royal Palms Communities. The project was to replace the Klondike Hotel and Casino at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, beside the Las Vegas welcome sign. The resort was approved in October 2006, but an investor pulled out of the project in August 2007, and the land was put up for sale in May 2008. Pharoah's Kingdom Pharoah's Kingdom was planned as a $1.2 billion gaming, hotel and theme park complex to be built on 710 acres (290 ha) at Pebble Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, five miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. Construction was approved in October 1988, with Silano Development Group as the developer. The project would have an Egyptian theme, including two 12-story pyramids made of crystal, with each containing 300 suites. The hotel would have a total of 5,000 rooms, making it the largest in the world. The 230,000 sq ft (21,000 m2) casino would include 100 table games and 3,000 slot machines, while an RV park, mini-golf, a bowling alley, and a video game arcade would be located beside the casino area. Three of the project's various pyramid structures would house the 50-acre (20 ha) family theme park. Other features would include sphinxes, man-made beaches, waterways resembling the Nile river, an underwater restaurant, a 24-hour child-care facility, a 100-tenant shopping promenade, and a repertory-style theater that would be overseen by actor Jack Klugman. Additionally, the resort would feature an 18-hole PGA Championship golf course, and a monorail located within the theme park. The project would have one mile of frontage along Las Vegas Boulevard. Frank Gambella, president of the project, stated that financing was in place, with groundbreaking planned for March or April 1989. Gambella said the project would be financed by several entities, with the money coming from a Nevada corporation, suggesting the entities would be grouped together as an umbrella corporation. Gambella stated that the project could be opened by Labor Day 1990. The resort was expected to employ 8,000 people. Following the completion of the resort, Gambella said a complex of 750 condominiums would be built on the land along with 900 retirement-care apartments. The project was cancelled shortly after it was announced, as authorities became suspicious of developer Anthony Silano's fundraising efforts for the project. It was discovered that Silano and his associates hacked into the Switzerland bank accounts of Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos following his death in 1989. Silano pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges. Another Egyptian-themed resort, Luxor Las Vegas, would open on the south Las Vegas Strip in 1993. Planet Hollywood Resort (original plans) Not to be confused with the current Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Originally planned to open in the late 1990s on the site of the Desert Inn, it was to be one of the largest hotels in Las Vegas. Because of the bankruptcy of Planet Hollywood Restaurants, the hotel was never built. However, in the 2000s, a group of investors bought the new Aladdin Hotel and Casino and remodeled it with a modern Hollywood theme. Playboy Hotel and Casino A proposed casino resort themed after Playboy magazine was rejected in favor of a nightclub and suites built at the top two floors of the new Palms tower. The planned location for the Playboy Hotel and Casino, on the Las Vegas Strip, was later used for the Cosmopolitan resort. Santa Fe Valley Main article: Santa Fe Valley Santa Fe Gaming, which owned the Santa Fe hotel-casino in northwest Las Vegas, had plans for a second Santa Fe property in 1996. The Santa Fe Valley would be built on a 40-acre (16 ha) lot in Henderson, Nevada, adjacent to the Galleria at Sunset mall. The start of construction was delayed several times because of poor financial quarters for Santa Fe Gaming, and because of the company not yet receiving financing for the project. Site preparation started in July 1998, with an opening date scheduled for December 1999, but construction never began. In 1999, the property was sold to Station Casinos, which sold the land a year later for use as a shopping center. Shenandoah Hotel and Casino A project by Wayne Newton. Although the hotel operated for a short time at 120 E. Flamingo Road, the management was unable to get a gaming license. After years of floundering it was sold to a Canadian company and became Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino. Silver City proposals By January 2000, Luke Brugnara was planning to build a San Francisco-themed resort on the site of the closed Silver City Casino. Brugnara intended to give Silver City a multimillion-dollar renovation, with plans to have a fully operational hotel-casino by 2002. In March 2001, Brugnara's request for a gaming license was rejected. In May 2002, it was announced that Brugnara had sold the casino while retaining six acres located behind the building. In 2003, Brugnara was planning to build a 24-story, 304-room hotel and casino resort on a portion of the Silver City property. The resort, to be named "Tycoon", was to be designed by Lee Linton, with an expected cost of approximately $100 million. Starship Orion International Thoroughbred Breeders (ITB) announced plans to demolish the El Rancho and construct Starship Orion, a $1 billion hotel, casino, entertainment and retail complex with an outer space theme, covering 5.4 million square feet (501,676 square meters). The resort was to include seven separately owned casinos, each approximately 30,000 square feet (2,787 square meters). Each potential casino owner was to contribute up to $100 million to own and operate a casino within the complex. The complex would have included 300,000 square feet (27,871 square meters) of retail space, as well as 2,400 hotel rooms and a 65-story hotel tower. ITB hoped to begin construction later in 1996, with a planned opening date of April 1998. Sunrise This was to have been located at 4575 Boulder Highway. Property developer Michael Mona Jr. built the hotel-casino and stated that he was going to break tradition by starting a "casino without a theme". He failed to get an unrestricted gaming license when suspicions arose concerning his associations with alleged organized crime figures. Chips were made for the casino, but were never used. The building was opened as Arizona Charlie's Boulder. Titanic In 1999, Bob Stupak was planning a 400-foot-high (122 m) resort themed after the RMS Titanic, to be built on a 10-acre (4 hectares) property he owned near downtown Las Vegas. The resort would have included 1,200 rooms, 800 of which were to be used for timeshares to help finance the project. That year, planning commissioners rejected Stupak's request to change the zoning to allow for a hotel. The project was later planned for the former site of the El Rancho Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, but was rejected by the Las Vegas City Council. W Las Vegas Main article: W Las Vegas W Las Vegas was proposed in August 2005, as a $1.7 billion joint project between Starwood and Edge Resorts, with a scheduled opening in 2008. The project would include a 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2) casino and approximately 3,000 hotel, condo hotel, and residential units. The project was cancelled in May 2007, after Starwood pulled out of the deal. Wally's Wagon Wheel Wally's Wagon Wheel was to be developed by Walter Weiss through his company, Magna Leisure Partnership. The project was proposed for 2200 South Boulder Highway in Henderson, between Wagon Wheel Drive and Roberts Road, near Henderson's Old Vegas western theme park. Manga Leisure Partnership purchased the 15.5-acre property in late February 1988. Weiss, at that time, had tentative plans for a western-themed, 112-room property known then as the Wagon Wheel Hotel and Casino. The Wagon Wheel was expected to cost $15 million, and financing had yet to be obtained for the project, which Weiss expected to open in early 1990. The project, which would include a 55,000 sq ft (5,100 m2) casino, was to be built in two phases. By October 1991, Wally's Wagon Wheel remained unbuilt due to difficulty obtaining financing. That month, the Henderson Planning Commission voted to give Weiss more time to make progress on the project. At that time, the project was to include 204 hotel rooms and would be built on 13.30 acres (5.38 ha). Weiss noted that the nearby successful Sam's Town hotel-casino opened with 204 rooms, and he believed his project would be successful if he opened with the same amount of rooms for good luck. By the end of 1992, Weiss had still not acquired financing for Wally's Wagon Wheel. At the time, the project was the largest of five casinos being planned for Henderson. The three-story project was to include 200 rooms, two restaurants, a theater lounge for country and western entertainment, and a large bingo room. Weiss stated that groundbreaking was scheduled for May 1993, with an expected opening in June 1994. The hotel-casino would employ approximately 600 people upon opening. Weiss met with nearby residents to discuss the project, and he had the original design changed to include a larger buffer zone between homes and the hotel-casino. In November 1994, the Henderson Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of Weiss' requested zone change as part of the redesign. The project, at that time, was to include a one-story casino and a four-story hotel with 400 rooms. In December 1994, the Henderson City Council rejected Weiss' plans for a 200-foot (61 m) buffer. In July 1997, the unbuilt project received its sixth extension from the Henderson Planning Commission for a use permit and architectural review. In August 1997, the Henderson City Council approved the sixth extension, but denied Weiss' appeal for a one-year extension, instead giving him six months to make progress on the project. Up to that time, $1.7 million had been invested in the project by Magna Leisure Partnership. As of 1998, the project was expected to cost $80 million and employ at least 1,200 people, and the proposed site had increased to 19 acres (7 ha). At that time, Weiss stated that he was close to obtaining financing for the project from a casino operator. The project was never built. Wild Wild West Not to be confused with Wild Wild West Gambling Hall & Hotel. As of 1993, Station Casinos owned a 27-acre (11 ha) site on Boulder Highway with the potential to be developed as a casino. The site was located across the street from Sam's Town hotel-casino. In January 1998, Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. announced plans to purchase Station Casinos, which had intended to sell the land prior to the announcement. By March 1998, Station Casinos was planning to develop a hotel-casino complex on the land, which was occupied by a vacant strip mall. The complex would be known as Wild Wild West, with local residents as the target clientele. Crescent's purchase of Station Casinos failed in August 1998, and Station Casinos subsequently slowed its plans to build the project. By the end of the year, the project had received approval from the Clark County Planning Commission for a 273,000 sq ft (25,400 m2) casino and a 504-room hotel. No timetable for construction was announced, and Station Casinos had already decided by that point not to start any new projects prior to 2000. Station Casinos sold the undeveloped land for $11.2 million to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in April 2004. World Port In 2000, Howard Bulloch, David Gaffin, and their partner Tom Gonzales transferred ownership of the Glass Pool Inn property to their group, known as New World, with plans for a megaresort. New World purchased several other nearby motels to accumulate a 77-acre (31 ha) parcel located on the Las Vegas Strip and east of the Mandalay Bay. In January 2001, plans were announced for World Port Resorts, a megaresort consisting of hotel-casinos, a convention center and a fine arts facility. The project was to be built on the 77-acre (31 ha property, a portion of which was occupied by the Glass Pool Inn. World Trade Center To have been located at 925 East Desert Inn Road. Leonard Shoen, co-founder of U-Haul truck rental, purchased the property of what had been the Chaparral Hotel & Casino in 1996, renovating it into the World Trade Center Hotel. A gaming license was applied for, but when it was discovered that two of Shoen's closest partners were convicted felons, the application was denied in 1998. He withdrew his application, and died in a car crash in 1999 that was ruled a suicide. Cards and gaming chips were produced for the World Trade Center Casino, but were never used. The property has since been demolished and is now a parking lot, part of the Las Vegas Convention Center Annex. World Wrestling Federation A casino resort themed after the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) was proposed for a property near the Interstate 15 freeway across from Mandalay Bay. The project never went past the proposal stage. The land where it would have stood is now Allegiant Stadium. WWF also proposed to open the project on the property once used by the Clarion Hotel and Casino, which was demolished in 2015 to become a parking lot. Xanadu In February 1976, the Clark County Commission approved the 23-story Xanadu resort, to be built on the Las Vegas Strip at the corner of South Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. The resort would include approximately 1,700 hotel rooms and a casino, as well as convention facilities, a showroom, dining, and indoor tennis courts. The resort was to be developed by Tandy McGinnis – of Bowling Green, Kentucky – and his Xanadu Corporation, and would be built on 48.6 acres (19.7 ha) owned by Howard Downes, a resident of Coral Gables, Florida. The Xanadu would feature a pyramid design, and was expected to cost $150 million. It would have been the first themed mega-resort. Much information and many artifacts of the project are housed at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas library. The Excalibur Hotel and Casino ultimately opened on the property in 1990. It's been a long while since we've poured the water folks, but at last we've got ourselves a banner with new units to scour. We're still in full swing with the second Anniversary fiesta, and the most recent patch was a pretty big one. Lot's of new toys at our disposal (Cactuar fusing is finally here!) But our big focus is going to be on the units themselves. As always, we've got a small selection of other offerings from the community here and abroad to supplement your bathing experience. Without adeu:
Howl's yet to post a video (as of the posting) that covers the banner.
Evillaugher1 is also yet to release a direct video on the banner.
Raegen: The front and center man on the banner doesn't disappoint. Almost all of his Abilities deal damage and come with additional breaks/supportive stuff baked in with the cost. Dual Wield and chains with the Orlandeau family through Erythrite Blade makes this unit extremely Fresh Player friendly. The kit aside, his TMR is 50% High Tide and up to 60% in ATK passives with Katanas, Swords, Daggers, and Great Swords makes it extremely flexible for your gearing needs. Fire and Ice are his elements, so if you've got two male butler units; you know where their TMRs belong.
Zile: This guy's the 'RNG' (Ranger) type unit I've been looking forward to. He's got an extremely limited weapon selection. His Abilities are tree'd, much like Prishe's and Yda's monk Abilities. His tree path is all about building up his LB (it's extremely expensive at 60 LB Crysts), but hits insanely hard. If you happen to have a TDH set of TMRs, and no good TDH unit, Zile's gonna be your buddy here. His TMR is also a discount Prishe's Hairpin with 36 ATK on it instead of 45. Trade off is you get 31 more DEF and Paralyze Immunity on it. A worthy trade indeed!
Ryumynui: This is the discount bard Edward wishes he could be. Her buffs are 65%, one 80% with a one turn prep to get there. However, the thing of note with Ryu here is her LB. It's a flat HP/MP heal, and on the insanely cheap side (20 LB Crysts). 100% HT means you can spam this 36-60% HP heal/31-55% MP refresh each turn. Her TMR is also ok, it may jump in priority for you if your healer is CK Ariana. All in all, a pretty damn good discount bard on offer here folks.
Lucille: The poor man's Amelia. She comes in at a 3* base, so her usefulness is always going to be handicapped. That said, she's got AoE 70% Lightning resist in Barthundaga if you're still having issues with Ramuh, and also works as a stop-gap (the puns!) on your Arena team until you've got a group of Ashe's or the aforementioned Amelia to replace her with. The TMR is also note worthy at 120 ATK gun with Lightning Elemental damage on it, and it's not 2-handed.
Banner Over all
Fresh Players: It's become a bit of a trend to see most of the units on the banner, even the 3* base be something you'll find useful starting out. This banner continues this tradition. Raegen here is simply put, a better Orlandeau that also happens to chain with him. Both 4* bases are serviceable for you. Even the 3* base has some uses in the Arena until you've pulled a few better units that you can replace her with.
F2P <6MO: Bottom up, the 3* base has a solid TMR, as does Zyle if you've yet to pull Prishe. Ryumynui's got a fairly good LB, and Raegen is gonna be the prize with his stellar kit and flexible TMR. Pulling here though is subjective, as only you know what your account needs. If your a fan of the Veritas', the first one up is a pretty damn good start.
F2P >6MO: Same as above. You should be able to comfortably skip pulling on this banner if you're team is set, and TMR'd up. Zyle, and Lucille being the TMR standouts, aside from the obvious Ragen.
Vets: Raegen is what you're after here. Godspeed in you pulls!
Non-macro: Being that the gamut of the above can reside here, it's up to you to decide if your up to pulling here. Do note that we've got a metric $#@%ton of Moogles over the past two weeks, and there's even more to come. All told, you folks should be able to pull down about 3 100% moogles (or more) by the end of the extravaganza, so do keep that in mind while pulling. The serviceable kits for you folks will be Raegen (obviously), and Lucille for your Arena needs (if needed). Ryumynui can also act as a healer in a pinch if her LB is capped, but is better served as a mana battery if it's not.
*these stats do not incorporate passives. E= requires equipment to gain annotated bonus The first Veritas out of their armor is the old Darklord himself. The father of Rain (no spoilers needed, it's in the unit bio) has a deal to offer up in his kit. Let's take a look. The first ability to look at his Blue Blade Ruin. It's a Libra that also comes with a small hit and a 40% ATK/MAG Break for 2 turns to a Single Target. If your team doesn't have a Libra on it somewhere, Raegen's got ya covered for the first encounter. Instant Flash is the next utility-esque Ability. It's an AoE 1 hit also with small damage, but it's cheap and also refunds 18 MP back to your entire team. With the DW, that's 36MP for it's 15MP cost. Soul Blazer is up next, as another ST 3 hit Ability that increases your parties Resistances to Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, and Dark by 50% for 3 turns. It's somewhat on the MP intensive side though at 64MP, but the bang for your buck in coverage here is pretty damn good. Mountain Dive is his 'Full Break' Ability, ST 3 hits with small damage going out. It's also on the high cost side for MP, and there are better breaks you'll get from your breakesupport once you've got your team established, but it's there if you're still getting your team set. Hero's Edge is a lot like his son's Leadership Ability, but also comes with a slightly harder AoE 3 hit. The buffs are at 60% and last for 3 turns. Much like Mountain Dive, it's there if you need it; but most established accounts will be able to look over this Ability. Burning Blood is a ST 3 hit that also has Fire Element on it, that also happens to increase Raegen's LB by 6 Crysts. If you've got a HT buff up, you can skip this one too. Erythrite Blade is the what you're after here folks. It's a ST 7 hit (chains with the Orlandeau family) that Imperils Fire and Ice by 60% for 3 turns. Elbis' and Erwin's TMRs, please report to the Raegen department. This brings us to his last Ability, Complete Awakening. It doesn't run you any MP, as it's cost is a full LB gauge from Raegen. If you decide to forgo Secret Slash Attack (his LB), you're buying Raegen a 3 turn 200% Buff to his ATK/MAG/DEF/SPR stats, 30% Damage taken (ALL), a 6,000 on a x15 mod Heal (split over those 3 turns), and a 20MP 0.2x mod Refresh (also split), all for 3 turns. The 200% buff to his combat stats is pretty enticing, but I do believe it's a dps loss to burn the turn to buff over going with his LB and continuing to spam out Erythrite Blade. If any math-magicians would care to chime in below, feel free to do so. That covers his Abilities, but Sir Raegen here also happens to have a few spells he can cast too. Firaga and Blizzaga are there to help you cover those elements. Raise and Curaga though are welcome on your dps, in the event things get a little hairy. Lastly, he's got Barblizzaga/firaga that confer your team a 70% Resistance to Ice/Fire respectively for 3 turns. The magic here shouldn't be used too often, but are welcome in the kit regardless. In his Passives, Dual Wield comes stock on Raegen. We've also got some passive stat buffs noted above. The real pleasure though is that we've got four Equip Masteries you can choose from when it comes to getting the most out of your Raegen. Those weapons are Sword, Dagger, Katana, and Great Swords that'll boost his ATK by 50% for equipping any of those four (but only triggering once per weapon type). The previous statement about Elbis' and Erwin's TMRs holds true here, as equipping both is a solid 100% ATK boost, and cover both of his elements neatly. Doing so will unlock at least one slot for any Killer Passive you want to put on him for the weeks particular event/trial boss. He's also got Clear Will, which is a modest 1,800 (1xSPR) Heal at the end of your turns, a 10% MP Refresh, and 2 LB Crysts per turn. So, taking a soak with this kit here, we can see that his base kit is extremely Fresh Player friendly. DW stock and a nice range of weapons to choose from make his gearing options pretty flexible. His chaining capabilities with the Orlandeau family also make him a pretty good Friend unit to put up. The rest of the kit will see use as you begin to build your team comp, but will really begin to hone in on Erythrite Blade once your team finally takes shape. As stated thrice now, the two biggest TMRs for you to go after are Elbis' and Erwin's to really help Raegen dish out some solid numbers whilst taking advantage of his dual Imperils nicely. Running him out of MP will be rather hard to do with Clear Will too, unless you're spamming out Hero's Edge (which you won't); so don't be afraid to go ham with him. When you look at gearing your dps units, you want a TMR that's either a specialist (high in one stat), or really good with it's flexibility. Raegen's TMR does both. Hero's Vow - Dark has 4 different weapon types for you to select from, each one granting your equipped unit a solid 30% boost to ATK for equipping one of those four options; meaning you can get 60% ATK out of one Materia slot. 50% High Tide on top of all that is extra gravy for this salisbury steak. TMR Materia's like this going forward are going to be much more coveted as with the advent of the 7* era, the JP version also saw the Passive cap raise from 300% to 400% about four or five months after it landed. Looking at Raegen's LB, Secret Slash Attack, you'll see it hits like a bus dropped from low orbit. Uncapped, we're talkin' a solid AoE 7 hits with 9.6x mod that also Imperils Fire and Ice by 76% for 3 turns. Capped? Well, that's where the low orbit comes in. The mod slides to 12x and the Imperil jumps to 100%. If you pull Raegen and intend to use him on your team, cap this. The only prohibitive/negative thing I've got to say it's it's cost is 36 LB Crysts. Still though, you're getting a lot for those 36 Crysts with his LB. Raegen's 7* form is beastly folks. First up is his TMR Equip Passive for awakening him to 101. If you slap Hero's Vow - Dark into one of those Materia slots (and you should), all of his 5-6* Abilities get an additional 2x mod added to them. Further more, he also gets an additional 40% TDW (+40% Equipment ATK) when Dual Wielding. That's a big thing because you will be DW'ing with him, and this ups his primary dps Abilities mod to 6.8x. 105 see's him get two new Abilities and one Passive. The first Ability runs 60MP and is a 2.8x AoE 1hit that also fills his LB by 2-3 Crysts. The second Ability costs 58MP and sports a 3.45x mod that's a ST 8 hit (6 frame data, Chains with an upcoming group dubbed Absolute Tranquility. Thanks to u/fourrier01 and u/crushedMilk for the heads up on this) with 50% ignore DEF (6.9x mod). The Passive is a 30% Elemental Resistance boost to Fire, Ice, and Dark Elements. 110 houses his two CD Abilities. Both open up on the 4th turn and each has a 3 turn CD and both come in at 99MP. The first one is a 14.5x ST 7 hit (Orlandeau frames) that Imperils Fire by 100% for 2 turns and adds Fire Element to him for the same duration. The second is for his other Element, Ice. Same 14.5x mod, but this one hits 8 times (with 6 frames, no clue on who it chains with). Same goes for the Imperil to Ice and buff duration. 115 has the stock 20% Passive boost to a stat, this ones to his ATK. Which brings us lastly to his 120 Capstone Passive. It's a 20% boost to his HP/MP, along with DEF/SPR. He'll also gain 2 LB Crysts per turn, and an additional 50% HT. His 7* form carries on with the dual Elements of his base kit, and really turns up the heat with his TMR Equip Passive to put your foes on ice in short order. If you luck out and manage to pull two of him on banner, cap his LB (This patch also normalized the LB up rate) and set aside some of the TMR moogles we're getting from the 2nd Anniversary to fuse into the dupe.
Is he a Unit of Choice ticket candidate?
I'm going to go with a yes here folks. Much in the same way Sephiroth power-crept upon the once mighty Orlandeau, Raegen does the same here with two other elements. His stock will also rise significantly if you happen to be sitting on our GLEX (currently) Fryevia with her Enhancements. His 6* form is pretty damn good to start with, and gets better in the 7* era. Couple this with his flexable TMR to help you eek out 60% more ATK with weapons that have been shown a lot of love with different Elements to choose from here and you've got a nearly complete package. He's not one of those meta-defining units, but he's certainly no slouch either. In the Arena: Eh, he's got a few AoE abilities, but the low mods on them and the lack of Counters in his kit don't make him the most savory unit you could bring here. There's better units to put on your team here over our man Raegen.
So, how does Raegen fare out of the box?
Fresh Players: I did mention at the end of his 7* soak that he's nearly the complete package. For your crowd, this is correct. Raegen's got a dabble of everything you need to help you get yourself through the main story, and will more than likely remain on your core team as you begin to piece that team together. As stated earlier, Elbis and Erwin both have TMR's that you need to take full advantage of his dual Elements; but isn't something you have to drop everything to get. If you've pulled Raegen, you've got a unit that's set to remain on your team well into the 7* era.
F2P <6MO: There's a good chance you folks have potentially one Hyomoto laying around (probably on an Orlandeau if you've got a Fryevia) and are most of the way through Elbis' TMR. Get this man on your ES party because his TMR is pretty damn good, doubly so if you've pulled two of em (do note, his TMR is limited to one per unit, but it is just that good to have two of). If you've got a geared up 'Landeau, gearing his replacement will be super easy for you.
F2P >6MO: Same as the above, your Orlandeau is about to hit bench status, and Raegen's the reason why.
Vets: I'm looking forward to seeing the damage output videos some of you put up on YT with him front and center.
Non-macro: This man devoid of his TMR, and other TMRs is still a high functioning unit. I'm going to urge you to get his TMR though with the load of TMR moogles we've been getting recently though. Like, highly urge you to do so. The 60% ATK boost for the weapons that the Materia functions on all have some pretty good Elemental coverage, or raw ATK as you simply can not go wrong here.
*these stats do not incorporate passives. E= requires equipment to gain annotated bonus When I zee Zile, I can't help but think: "That's the love child of a RNG and COR from FFXI". What's our cannoneer have on display for us? Before we get to the 'tree' of his Abilities, let's cover the ones that lie outside of it. Spreadshot is a cheap, low damage hit to all enemies. Heavy Shell is moderate AoE 1 hit that's somewhat expensive. That leaves us with Blank Fire, an 80% ATK/MAG buff for 3 turns on the expensive side at 80MP. In the paltry passives on show, Zile's got a very low 60 HP heal with a 1.2xSPR mod at the end of your turns. The rest of his passives are already annotated above Because he's got a branching path set of abilities, we'll be breaking out the graph to help folks visualize how to navigate the path.
24MP, +4 LB
Super Reload, Powerful Shell
Super Reload (30MP, +8 LB)
Devastating Reload, Super Shell
Powerful Shell (lvl 1 cash-out)
AoE 1 hit 5.5x Critical hit, 34% chance to fail
Devastating Reload (36MP, +12 LB)
Forbidden Reload, Exploding Shell
Super Shell (lvl 2 cash-out)
AoE 1 hit 10x Critical hit, 12% chance to fail
Forbidden Reload (60MP, +16 LB)
Devastating Shell (lvl 3 cash-out)
AoE 1 hit 15x Critical hit, 12% chance to fail
4th level (0MP)
Miraculous Shell (20%)
AoE 1 hit 26.5x, +20 LB Crysts
Exploding Shell (80%)
AoE 1 hit 26.5x to all allies
The jist of his kit is all about powering up his cannon for a number of turns, each turn unlocks either the option to 'double down' on his damage, or cash out with the shell for that level. The entire path will run you 150MP, but will also see you earn minimum 40 LB Crysts, or 60 if you get the Miraculous Shell, which means you've got enough to pop his LB off. Do note that 80% of the time, you'll be cratering your party with the final payout, which makes the whole Reload tree pretty much moot. After a soak with his kit, he makes more sense if you go with his LB over the Reload tree. This will require a second unit in your group to be his dedicated Entruster to really take advantage of his DPS. You can still opt to go the Reload route, especially if your going for a hefty chain finishing hit for numbers that'll make a Vegas Casino owner blush over. Gear wise? This mans a 4* base built with a TDH build in mind with the mods on show. If you're in that odd position where you've got 200% (or even 250% with Explorer Aileen's TMR), and no feasible TDH unit to put those god-mode TMRs on; I highly suggest you give this guy Zile a ring. Zile's TMR, Bomber's Bicorne is the cheaper knock-off version of Prishe's Hairpin. If you've got aforementioned TDH TMRs, and are sans a Prishe; pick up that phonograph and Morse code our man here. His LB, Knightly Crossfire is actually pretty boss. The major con to this LB though is it's cost, which comes in at a staggering 60 LB Crysts. As mentioned in the soak, if you intend to be using him seriously; you'll want to bring an Entrust unit to help speed him to this hard hitting LB. At it's base, we're talking about shelling your foes with 3 salvos coming in at a 14.8x mod. Cap this and it ups to 17.2x. The 3 hits is what makes it scary. If you have LB pots -after- you've capped your fresh 7* units, Zile's one of them units that might be worth a look. In the Arena: No. Mods are too low on Heavy Shell to hit cap, he's got meh for HP, and no Counters. Yes, I'm Edna Mode when it comes to units without Counters in the Arena. ... Confront the problem. FIGHT! WIN! And call me when you get back, darling. I enjoy our visits.
So, how does Zile fare out of the box?
Fresh Players: He's going to be hard for you folks to really get the most out of him. His kit is built around some rather prohibitive TMRs to really take advantage of his output. That said, if you pull both him and Ryumynui; she's a great unit to use as his Entrust partner to help you clear away foes in short order. Be sure to pick up his cannon from the Story Event for a cheap weapon to get you started on your war path.
F2P <6MO: Ah, now were starting to get into the crowd that'll really be able to take advantage of this kit. Maybe not completely, but closer.
F2P >6MO: Closer yet. Go on, give him a spin if you've got an open slot and a penchant for large numbers.
Vets: I dunno about you folks, but I might be faffing with him while I wait for Ang to get his 7* for $#@%s and giggles.
Non-macro: Eh, I don't think Zile's gonna be your cup of tea folks. I mean, you can get some good numbers out of him. No doubt, but not the same numbers folks with some hefty TMRs will be raining down. The sprite looks good though, and the animations are on point.
*these stats do not incorporate passives. E= requires equipment to gain annotated bonus The third stab for discount bard unit is here. Does Ryumynui have the gusto to perform accolades for your party or is she a whoopee cushion? Analyze on your Support unit these days is stock. Filling up the monster-dex means this is a requirement somewhere in your party. Hide is here in her kit to help you with Hide cheese strats. Pacify is a cheap ST Dispel she can whip out as needed. Alluring Air comes in on the cheap and is a 30% chance to inflict Confuse to all foes. This one's a hard pass. Escape is here to nope out of those preemptive battles your looking to avoid in the Bahamut Exploration. Ah, here we are. The first Ability worth a mention on her, that being Entrust. There's a reason I put Zile first in the review over his female contemporary here. See, these two work pretty damn well together. Yes, Ling would be a better fit for Entrust, but she's time limited. Ryumynui on the other hand is unfettered by this 'limited time' notion. Her cheap LB cost (20 Crysts) and own Eccentrick via Passionate Bullet means she will fill up her LB every turn. Recall the mods on Knightly Crossfire, and you've got a handy way to keep the gunpowder hot. Now, while we've just covered one of her bardic Abilities, there are four left to cover. Healing Cantilena is a somewhat weak HP/MP Refresh that's split over 3 turns as she sings. A Song for Praise is an AoE 65% full stat boost for 3 turns while singing. Charming Warm-up is the TL;DR one turn Ability you'll need to use in order to unlock General's Tale. Before we move to that though, Charming Warm-up does have a 30% Damage Mitigation (ALL) tied to it. The downsides to this is that it only lasts for one turn, and is limited to Ryumynui only. General's Tale combines Healing Cantilena and a slightly more robust Song for Praise into one. The HP/MP Refresh is pretty weak, but the stat buffs jump to 80%. In her Passives that aren't already in the Stat Graph, we've only got to cover Nomad Poet. Just a simple 100HP+8MP you'll Regen with every 4 steps taken in explorations. Right, let's soak on this one... There's a lot left to be desired here from the third stab at a discount bard. Her base kit without really taking a look at her LB isn't anything spectacular. If you're filling your slot with a bard, you'll be looking to fill it with either of the big 4; those being Ramza, Lunera, Roy, or MS Nichol. That said, she's got a few uses for budget builds or Fresh Players. Her Entrust and Passionate Bullet make for an instant LB every 3/4 turns, meaning any high LB cost unit can just skip right to it with this combo. The other useful side to her kit is her LB. I'll leave that for it's own section though. Ryumynui's got a TMR, and it's not anything you'll be farming hard, unless you've got Charming Kitty Ariana. So, outside of this limited time healer, the TMR's got almost no uses. I'll be blaming the 2-handed tied to it. 26 MAG and 102 SPR is pretty meh for a niche Weapon type. HP+20% though is decent, as is the 1 LB Cryst a turn via Auto-limit; but it's all brought back to reality with the two-handed weapon classification. Remove that and it turns into a serviceable TMR in my eyes (says the man with Lunera as his primary bard). Her LB is the other juicy bit in her kit that we haven't gone into depth on yet. One Boy's Odysseia comes in at 20 LB Crysts, and it's base function is 36% HP and 31% MP refill to your party. Yup, that's a flat percentage you'll be getting back. Cap this and the HP side jumps to 60% and the MP half to 55%. Recall that Passionate Bullet? This is spammable with 200% HT up, which can make your team close to invincible if your tank can soak all damage and remain above 40% HP. Just like I said with Zile, Ryumynui's LB is worth a look after you've capped your 7* units. In the Arena: She's got no Counters, and her one 'attack' Ability is an AoE 30% Confuse. Hard no.
So, how does Ryumynui fare out of the box?
Fresh Players: There's a serviceable kit here. She'll eventually be traded out for one of the big four listed earlier, but she's still gonna find her way onto budget builds I think with her low LB cost, Entrust, and damn fine LB.
F2P <6MO: You folks can pass on her. If you're lacking a bard, try your luck here; but I'll be secretly rooting for you to get one of the four better options.
F2P >6MO: Same as above, but I don't think you're looking for a bard by this point.
Non-macro: I'll level with ya here. The kit isn't super stellar, it's not going to win you fights if she's the last member standing. However, she'll definitely provide throughput for other units. Pre six months, she's got some life on a bench. Anything post that though and you start to run into the other four units encroaching on her spot in your team. The TMR on her is also passable in it's entirety.
*these stats do not incorporate passives. E= requires equipment to gain annotated bonus What's this?! Abilities straight out of FFT?! eyes narrow I'm on to you Lucille... trying to be an FFBE unit. Right. I'm just going to cut right to the only important Ability in her kit: Ricochet at 73. You see the Dual Wield for sale in the King Mog shop for 12k? Get that if your a Fresh Player and make sure it makes it's way to your girl here on your Arena team. If you aren't a Fresh Player, you can pull out your neuralizer and... what was I saying again? Lucille's TMR, Brontes is a noteworthy TMR in my book. It's a non-2 handed gun with a decent ATK stat to it and it's also got the Lightning Element on it. While guns right now don't have any big units that really want to equip them (aside from maybe Prompto), that's a thing that can change in time. Not something to hard farm for, but you'll want to fuse all your dupes into your main to eventually get this little nugget. Her LB is passable. Lightning damage to a ST for 16 LB Crysts with decent mods won't save Lucille from the bench. In the Arena: Ricochet was the only Ability covered in that section. This is why. If your a Fresh Player, this is her sole use. She's to be replaced with more Ashe's or her superior counterpart in Amelia. Yes, I know I'm breaking the 'No Counter' rule here, but the Stop cheese from Ricochet is going to see you Fresh Players hit the 100 win streak in short order.
So, how does Lucille fare out of the box?
Fresh Players: She's gonna be used in your Arena team... but that's about it. Her place there is also highly suspect as two units on the 4* base level will replace her.
F2P <6MO: TMR fodder from here on out, and not even the ES farm team kind either.
F2P >6MO: As above.
Vets: More as above.
Non-macro: One of those odd times where even you folks sit at the same table as the macro crowd.
Right, we've come to the end of the bath this week. All in all, the banner's going to be a subjective pull for you. Raegen is a good pick-up, but doesn't break the meta in any way. The two 4* bases are middling in their kit's usefulness, and the 3* base is quickly replaced in an Arena team. Hands out lucky red packets Good luck, and Godspeed!
